President Iran

Does anyone really believe Iran is only trying to get nuclear power for peaceful reasons?

With the launch of the latest rocket, is anyone still so gullible that they believe Iran isn't working on getting nuclear weapons? This rocket is designed to carry a nuke and not really capable of carrying conventional bombs so any claim that it could is BS. And does anyone really believe that they wouldn't use them if they are allowed to get them?

  1. Ahmadinajad's nose keeps getting longer.
  2. I never believed Iran's claim that Uranium enrichment was for nuclear energy only. That may have been a part of it, but it was not the whole truth. As time goes on, it seems that they are getting more and more careless about using the "peaceful means" as a guise. Iran will defend and counterattack with whatever weapons they have available. Even if they do not strike first, the words and actions are provocative enough..................
  3. The reason they are developing the missles is to be able to reach Israel (which btw already has nukes). Israel is really to blame for any arms race in middle east. Also note: while Iran allows UN weapons inspectors in order to confirm it does not have any nukes, Israel refuses to allow inspections and is known to have around 300 nukes.
  4. I do believe that their obvious goal is to acquire nukes but not to attack anyone. I believe it is honestly for defense purposes. About the launch of their missiles, testing missiles is not against the law and every countries do it at a point or another. I do believe that they will not attack first but will obviously attack as a retaliation strike against the USA or Israel in case they attack Iran as I believe they will in the very near future.
  5. The only gullible one here is YOU! You say they are building nukes......do you have any proof whatsoever that they are??? Cite some actual sources, and no the bullsh/t American news media is not a legitimate source, I'm talking about either the IAEA and/or UN inspections committee. People, Cut your bullsh/t about Iran's nukes out, when you know absolutely nothing about it. Until now, there has not been any evidence of an Iranian nuclear weapons program, that's all just exaggerations and bullsh/t feed to you by the media. As long as they are not developing nuclear weapons, there is nothing stopping them from enriching uranium as the enrichment of uranium is legal under the NPT as long as it is inspected. Some people think that enrichment is one of the things that would be removed from the NPT....as once the IAEA director general, Mohamed Elbaradei, once said, "In addition, a number of countries with nuclear energy programmes have the capability, if they choose, to manufacture nuclear weapons within a matter of months if their security perceptions change, because they have mastered the critical technology – uranium enrichment and plutonium reprocessing. If more countries take this path, it could prove to be the Achilles' heel of non-proliferation" http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2009/jul/19/nuclear-technology-fuel-cycle But Elbaradei also once called the threat from Iran "hyped" and considering how much the media likes to overplay the threat from Iran, I don't blame him from saying that considering that some of the news media treats it as if Iran already has nuclear weapons, which is a claim that has never been substantiated (and I could be wrong, but I think it never will). http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE5811V120090902 That being said, I do think that there are many issues within Iran that we should be concerned, like how Iran is known to support Hezbollah, and is suspected to support other militant groups...and also how the people in Iran many times disagree with the government of Iran but still, if the nuclear program of Iran is peaceful (which according to everything inspected so far it is), then I can't think of any reason why any person living in Iran would oppose it, whether the Mullahs are in power or not.
