Why did George W. Bush include Iran in his "Axis of Evil" speech if the country had a reformist president then?
Mohammad Khatami was a reformist president of Iran from 1997 to 2005, so why would he label Iran as part of the axis of evil? I can understand that label being placed now, but was it appropriate then?

- Reformist? I don't think so.
- Because the President of Iran is basically a figurehead. The ayatollahs run the country, and they have a long history of supporting international terrorism.
- Back then I think he was sober for a time.
- He wanted to invade Iran.
- The ayatollahs run the country.and there people need to stand up and fight.so we don't have to for them.or we will flatten their buildings.and enough with north korea too.just bomb them.we are still the power of the world.and we need our leaders to let the world know we will not be bullied.
