- Adobe Reader reads files called PDF files, which are not readable by Microsoft Word. So you can open the file with Adobe Reader and print it (top-left corner icon), or, if you NEED it in Microsoft Word, you can convert it. (I will assume you are using Adobe Reader 9, the latest version, if not, the directions may not be exact) To convert it, 1) Open the PDF ONLINE (in Adobe Reader), and copy the link at the top, (example- http://www.example.com/newsarticle.pdf) 2) Go here: http://www.freepdfconvert.com/convert_pdf_to_source.asp 3) Where it says "convert from", select URL. 4) At the top, delete the text that's already there and paste your link in the box. 5) Skip down to "Output Format" and make sure "Word (doc)" is selected. 6) Next, select JPG. 7) You can enter your email address in the email box if you wish, but you don't have to. 8) Leave the box beneath it unchecked. 9) Click convert and wait a few minutes, but stay on the page! 10) When it says Job Done, click the link and select Open. 11) Now copy and paste those files to your computer and your PDF is now a Word document that Word can open! Hope this helps, I tried to be clear and not too confusing. Email me with anymore questions: cjprallz@yahoo.com ----Chris
