What can America do with the huge threats from crazy Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed that the United States and Israel would soon be "annihilated," language he had not used so explicitly since October 2005 when he promised to wipe Israel "off the map" and urged Muslims to "envision a world without the United States." This week, his regime authorized a new series of Iranian war games. He ordered the digging of 320,000 graves to bury the enemies of Islam. He is calling for the unification of the Islamic world politically and economically, including the creation of a single currency.

Public Comments

  1. This is typical Middle Eastern hysteria. Iran is very weak Militarily. In the Middle East there is a culture of ridiculous exaggeration, (remember Baghdad Bob?) Iran would be very foolish to get itself into a war with the United States of America. Iran would lose that conflict and would become an even more miserable place to live than it is now.
  2. A big ass bomb should take care of it.
  3. don't worry, everything is BIGGER in america even our huge threats
  4. Goad him into even more craziness by calling him names and making counter threats? Uh, no, that hasn't worked very well, so far.
  5. Why do you listen to him? You're giving in to the fear he is trying to give you. If you become afraid of him, you'll want a war. This will cause the US to attack Iran which will in fact unite all of Islam agaisnt the western world. of course you people are too stupid to realize his mind games.
  6. I think it is probably just best to ignore the pompous little Napoleon for the time being. He knows if he were to attack the US, or Israel there would be an overwhelming response. There would be no one left in Iraq to fill in those graves.
  7. Liberals wanted to take him out to lunch and try and understand him it was just fine with them that he talked about doing away with two countries I mean you has that right and maybe he has his reason you know BUT he made the of saying something bad about homosexuals CAN"T have that they said NUKE him they said
  8. i cant understand why he is upset maybe it's, we invaded the country on his eastern border. we invaded the country on his western border. we have aricraft carriers and submarines patrolling just off his coast. we have military bases just across the persian gulf from him in qatar and kuwait. we gave his enemy nuclear weapons. we label them the axis of evil. we constantly fly military planes right up to their airspace. we threaten them on a weekly basis. i dont know what his problem is.
  9. He's a big talker but he knows that he's out gunned. If he attacks Israel, he'll be nuked. He's not alone in calling for the unification of moslems - so this is another nonissue. The reality of Iran is that many of the younger generation have been pro-American (or at least have been pro-democracy) in recent years. So what we've been doing is sending in special forces to foment revolt, meanwhile we rely on our Israeli proxies to keep the heat up. A better idea would be to leave the region entirely.
  10. War with Iran is becoming an inevitability. Our best bet is to put it off as long as possible and do everything possible to prepare before it kicks off. First of all though, we need to get our leaders to admit that it will come sooner or later , and get things in gear. (Ahmadinejad, however might be resigned to an air strike and is having his people digging their own graves under pretense. After all, wouldn't they be more likely to bury dead enemy soldiers in mass graves where they fell, rather than cart the bodies back to a grave yard and bury them individually?)
  11. attack iran because ahmadinejad will be the next president too because khmenei wants it and ahmadi nejad will kill all of the world
  12. Most likely he will put the hurt on the USA. We can't even hurt Afghanistan and Iraq so how can the USA beat/hurt Iran. We are at their mercy.
  13. We should always treat these threats as a real warning and to be diligent with in our community to watch for things that seem out of place. We can't go gonzo and suspect everyone but we must be aware of our surroundings and the natural order of life in your community. There are warning signs to most threats to the peace and to yourself, however an attack can and will occur with out warning. The Boy Scouts have it right their motto is "Be Prepared". Now the ancient Romans also got it right,Pray for peace but be prepared for war.Just remember words never hurt nor do threats with out action.I pray for peace in our beloved Republic and worry that we may be sliding into a canyon of decadence, indifference and amorality which will kill the spirit of liberty. May the people of this great nation return to Godly values is my wish then we will fear no one.
  14. Threat . . . what threat? Our next president (I'll negotiate with them Obama) has told us that Iran is no threat -- wait that was a few months ago. NOW he thinks they ARE a threat. I guess Ahmadinejad is also not the man Barack thought he was (it is becoming a very long list). Seriously, we've seen this movie before it happened during the 70's for over 400 days when 40 Americans were held hostage, we had a weak President who made failed attempts at negotiating and then a botched rescue. It consumed us at the time (the show Nightline was born from it showing the daily number count and we all watched it). Know what made it come to an end -- a new sheriff, and the Iranians knew, he wasn't going to just sit here and beg. Say what you want about Bush (there are many policy issues he has totally screwed up) but it has been close to 2500 days since 9/11/01 with no attacks on our soil and few would have bet on that. Don't like the war - nobody does, but also, nobody is forcing you to be there either (like Vietnam). It must drive some people crazy though, that our bravest are still enlisting knowing exactly where they will end up. If you want to know how to handle the Iranian President - hold on to your hat because Israel already reached their quota of lives lost last century - and they will launch an attack if they feel Iran is close to obtaining a nuclear weapon. And if they do it this year, we will probably be right with them.
  15. I am not sure whether flatulence has more meaning or these words uttered by you. Regarding the 2005 quotation, I actually understand the language and know this is not what he said, and regarding vow, all I can say is WOW! As I look at the world around me, Iraq and Afganistan are both occupied nations with over a million people killed since Bush's completely unprovoked and illegal invasion...and it is Palestine that one doesn't see on the maps anymore, and now these psychopaths, Israeli and American governments are contemplating many more killings and atrocities. As for envisioning a world without U.S., I think you'd do well to look into where your government is taking you with dismantling your American constitution and the SPP plan...believe me, with traitors that you have in office you don't need any enemies. As for war games, please tell us what is Iran supposed to do when it sees Israel do war games, and their dog, American government constantly threatening to invade a country that has suffered so much already. I don't know you, but assuming you are not a Zionist Jew,then I suggest investigating these issues. And regarding a call for unification of the Islamic world, well, why not, do you want Iran to follow the same fate as Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, and Lebanon...give the Iranian government some credit for intelligence, too!
  16. You have to give us a source for these things please... just a link to whatever you're reading... Fox tells us one thing and MSNBC tells us another... Secondly, I don't think Amadinejad would make a blanket statement like that unless it was taken out of context... or the result of our politics scaring the crap out of him... When McCain makes threats to Bomb a country for no good reason, it tends to make the whole world take an interest in our election... Amadinejad is crazy... but not really any more so than Bush or McCain... and he has less power.
