How will McCain or Obama deal with the threats from crazy Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed that the United States and Israel would soon be "annihilated," language he had not used so explicitly since October 2005 when he promised to wipe Israel "off the map" and urged Muslims to "envision a world without the United States." This week, his regime authorized a new series of Iranian war games. He ordered the digging of 320,000 graves to bury the enemies of Islam. He is calling for the unification of the Islamic world politically and economically, including the creation of a single currency.

Public Comments

1. Israel will invade Iran, most likely. McCain will send troops from Iraq, to Iran....leaving out the thousands that will continue to die in Afghanistan. Obama will send troops from Iraq to Afghanistan...and seek a diplomatic resolution that will result in fewer casualties.
2. Hopefully with diplomacy or overwhelming force. Being in the middle has not worked for us lately or for awhile.

4. Obama will think nothing of it and McCain will hopefully take action against the Iranians. If we don't do something, we might be too late. Too late as in Israel will lay waste to Iran and we'll have to deal with the fact that we didn't do anything to save the helpless Iranians.
5. Since GWB is still the president, I think he has to deal with the threats from Ahmadinejad. It is on GWB to fix what's going on with Iran right now, not Obama or McCain.
6. The real problem with this nut job is that he really believes that it is his mission--from God--to start WW3. He believes that he is suppose to bring about the end of the world so that his messiah can come back to earth and rule over a Muslim world. Personally the only way to deal with this type of nut job is to send him packing to his supposed 72 virgins and just kill him. Nothing else will ever work with that man. It would be in the best interest of the whole human race if he were in the ground. How either man got this job done doesn't matter, it just needs done.
7. Give me a break. Iran will be a sheet of glass before 320,000 graves could ever be filled. The man is a kook puppet. The Iranian people better get their stuff together and prevent this regime from destroying their country. I guarantee you that Iran will be wiped off the map before they have a chance to do anything of significance, especially if they continue down the path of trying to acquire nuclear weapons. One thing that I don't understand.. why would a country that is trying to build the bomb continue with that rhetoric? They are just instigating, and I think they are willing to suffer an attack to unite Islam against Israel and the West. They are trying to start WWIII. That is stupid because they will be destroyed. Nobody has seen the kind of technology that is available to the West for all out warfare, because we have not been backed into a corner yet. We are talking about hundreds of years of technology in advance of anything people have seen. The stealth fighter was developed in the 1960's, and was never seen until the first Gulf War. By then it was obsolete. Imagine what is available now.
8. Oh please. Ahmadinejad is all talk. He is all bark, but no bite. Besides he has zero power when it comes to military action. The ayatollah is the one with the power to go to war. Do you hear him talk like their President? Nope.
9. That's the 100 Billion dollar question isn't it. I can't recall more horrifying statements from the leader of a nation in my lifetime. Too bad the CIA can't take care of these problems anymore.
10. I think they will both try to be diplomatic, but McCain will lose his Patience and another war will erupt. Obama will probably be better at effecting change without war. But if war is necessary, I think they will both step up to the plate.

Lastly where are we going to get the $$$ to attack Iran now? Should we just print some more? or borrow another trillion from China.(who by the way is backing Iran) and would never lend it to us to fight them. I say bring the troops home fix the Economy. Screw endless wars!

The comment you speak of has been proven to be incorrect, it was a mistranslation, the actual translation. According to Juan Cole, a University of Michigan Professor of Modern Middle East and South Asian History, Ahmadinejad's statement should be translated as: The Imam said that this regime occupying Jerusalem (een rezhim-e eshghalgar-e qods) must [vanish from] the page of time (bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad).[12] Norouzi's translation is identical.[11] According to Cole, "Ahmadinejad did not say he was going to 'wipe Israel off the map' because no such idiom exists in Persian". Instead, "He did say he hoped its regime, i.e., a Jewish-Zionist state occupying Jerusalem, would collapse Stop the war mongering and educate yourself, don't believe the hype. And to add to this, if he, like it's reported said this, why would he immediately go on TV when the comment was announced on TV and say it was a mistranslation. 13. McCain will nuke the missile and neutral under ground, Obama will wait for Iran bombers to crush into American building again.
14. I don't think that sitting down with this Iranian nut and speaking "tough diplomacy" simply won't work. I don't "like" war and its killing fields. However, I think McCain will listen, again, to some extent. After hearing the Iranian nutcase once more, McCain will back Isreal (and they will back us...). America won't pull the ol' "trigger" - Israel will. Why not? Israel has been threatened, warned (to put it lightly). They have the power and will use it. America will support them. As for Obama? He simply "brushes" off all of that - Iraq, Israel, etc. McCain is a realist. Obama isn't - at least not in the area of global war.
15. 1. Russia and China have made it clear to us and Israel. Do not attack them: 2. Israel, can not, NOT permit Iran to progress any further in Tech and Development: 3. Israel has been "asked" by the U.S., NOT to attack, but Israel sees itself ALONE and facing certain extinction; 4. Israel WILL attack Iran, with conventional weapons, to try and destroy the known facilities; 5. Iran WILL respond with some higher level of retaliation, very possibly HE missiles AND close the Straight of Hormuz; 6. The U.S. under an obligation of Defense with Israel, WILL retaliate against Iran; 7. At this point, take your choice of what and with who the next scenario unfolds. Russia WILL react and we WILL react to them. ONE miscalculation, one too many bluffs called and we have a nuclear winter. Forget NATO, the U.N. and all our other so called allies. This will NOT involve ground forces.
