Where to get good, unbiased world news online? I am SO SICK of having to sort through all the spin in American news, just to get the facts about what's going on. Not to mention, American news NEVER talks about things outside of the US... Is there something online perhaps a youtube channel or something that covers world news with a minimum spin/bias?
Where can I watch the lastest channel 6 news online? Where is the best place online to get news? I decided to cut out my cable but still need to get news somewhere. Yahoo news is obviously not a good news source. At the G20 meeting, there was a 1 trillion dollar deal made. (I'm not sure how that will get paid for). However this story did not even make the a featured story on yahoo news while Michelle Obama getting kisses made the featured story. I need a better online news source. Any suggestion?
Why is it that online news is now more in the form of video instead of article format? I find it annoying that more often than not you have to watch a video instead of being able to read the article when getting online news. What is so bad about reading these days? I am not a reader myself, but I certainly don't like waiting for a video to load and then have to watch it when I could have read the article and moved on long before if I were to watch the video. Does anyone else feel this way or have an opinion?
Why are there so many typos in online news articles? Just about everyday I see typos in online news articles. Today this sentence was written about a missing boyscout: "Tina White said after officials first received word shortly before 11 a.m. that he Michael had been found." HE MICHAEL? This was in an AP article on yahoo news. You don't see these stupid mistakes as much in printed newspapers, so why so much online? Do they have a different editing process for online stuff? Is someone retyping and screwing up? Is everyone just getting sloppier?

Do you believe the online news that "Recession is over"? I have seen so many online news articles proclaiming "Recession is over" and other rosy pictures. Looking at the the current economy I find these online news of "Recession is Over" a big lie. People are still getting laid off, I apply for jobs no answer, and people are still losing their homes etc. Do you believe the online news that "Recession is Over" or is it a load of bunk? Please inform in your answer why you think yes or no. Thank you all for your time.
What international news networks stream their news programs online for free? I used to have this international news channel on my TV, but it was cancelled, so now I'm looking online for international news broadcasters that put their news programs online to stream. So far I've found the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), Deutsche Welle, and the RTE (Radio Telefís Éireann - (Irish News)). Anybody know of any other ones?
Where can I find a collection of news reports online? I have been asked by my school to write a speech for a debate about the fact that the media coverage of both Michael Jackson and Swine Flu has been inappropriate. I am in favour of the statement, but I am struggling to source down a selection of sufficient articles online. Does anybody know any good news websites. (By the way when I say sufficient, that means that the information is reliable and not too biased, I also need a good range of information from over the past month or two). Thanks, Matt
Online Global News Resource for the layman? Does anyone know of a good online news source for all the global issues at hand. It'd be great if the source was unbiased, updated daily, user-friendly and a place were all the key players are explained as if talking to a child. So a 12 year-old who doesn't know anything about the world's current events can go to this page and navigate easily and understand everything.

Where is the best place to get ACCURATE world news online? I feel like the American media is saturating their coverage with entertainment news and repeating topics for so long that my brain goes numb. I personally don't care what Paris or Brittney are doing these days and I didn't care to hear over and over again what size shoe was thrown at the president. Does anyone know of a news source where I can really see what's going on in the world?

Would you pay for news online? Would you pay for news online? If your local newspaper were to stop printing and went completely with an online edition, would you pay for a subscription and why?
How much time do you spend watching, listening, reading, or going online for your news? I am doing a stat project and in need of some samples so here a few questions. Is there a good online news website someone can tell me about? I would like to read up more about every issue from politics to heatlh, but I do not want to read material from a website that is too left or right winged. Is there such a site that just reports information as is? If you know of any please fill me in.
Where can i browse early news articles online? I am trying to find column about my grandma from years and years ago, but she has passed so I can't find out what newspaper it was in...but she lived in satellite beach and cocoa beach down in Florida. Why should the newspaper be replaced by online news blogs? yea sure technology is advancing but why should it have to affect newspapers? Don't you think the newspaper is much more valuable and special rather than just being posted on the web. who wants to read off a computer? newspapers should stay the way they are.
I hear older people get their news from tv and newspapers; younger ones get it online.? I'm young, growing out of some demographics I guess (just turned 31). I flip through the news channels, read the paper when it's around and read articles online. When I find something interesting in the news, I look it up online and find the same article, word for word in several places, sometimes with a little variation. If this is the difference in news for the young and old, I see no difference. I have several problems with the news. Local tv news is laughable no matter where you are. Local news anchors are completely fake. The stories they cover are ridiculous sometimes. In general, all formats of the news are just headlines with no story. Follow ups are rare, even with very interesting, unusual stories. Anyone have suggestions for credible online news sources that might have something different to say? Where is a good place to find a discussion on news, current events and maybe find some updates?
Looking for a recommendation for an objective News source online? You've got places like Fox with the far-right, and Salon with the left, and plenty of other quasi-moderate news pabulum sites like CNN, but what I'm looking for is a detailed, informative, and non-biased news coverage. Any suggestions? I'd love to find a news source that doesn't just parrot the AP, but includes news reports unheard of in other sources, like wars taking place in other smaller countries that never make the mainstream headlines, etc. Any suggestions?
Cable news online: How to "read" news and avoid time consuming Videos? I've wanted to read more about latest news, and everytime I go into cnn.com, all I see are the headlines, which you can click in for the videos. BUT all I WANT is to read the news there, because the videos take a while to load up. And besides I'm not hooked up to audio, anyway. Doesn't CNN have something similar to FOX, and Yahoo?
Can online News sources be sued for libel and slander ? Often times I hear us discrediting each others citings because of the sources. If an Internet news site prints something blatantly false, can the site be sued and or fined ? How long would a slanderous story be allowed to stay posted unless there was some disclaimer for funny business
Where can i get paid to post news online? im 15 and know alot about video games... i need money and i want to find a site that can pay me to post news articles. if you have any other ideas on where to make money please let me know.
Where can I find news sources online? There was a website that my professor (mass media and society class) would use to talk about current inventions, trends, etc. Unfortunately I forgot what the site was and I need a new source of information. I'm looking for a website that may send daily newsletters about advertisement companies, corporations, inventions, commercials, pop culture, etc. (something that announces new gadgets, television shows, etc.) So I can be on top of the latest media/pop culture news before it actually makes news. Understand? Give me links!
What is the most objective, unbiased, impartial, non profit-oriented news source online? I am a media & marketing student so I'm well aware that today advertising and hidden agendas usually run the show. But I need to be informed of the world's happenings w/o any prejudices. I am also from the San Francisco Bay Area so if its local its a bonus but not a requirement for journalistically-credible fair and ethical news. Any websites you can prove fit this description? Many thanks.
